Lester Bowden have confirmed that they will have all sports kit by 4th August 2017.
Also of note, Lester Bowden have introduced appointments this year so parents can book one hour time slots during the Summer to be fitted to avoid any possible queues right at the very end of the holidays. Equally you can still visit them as normal without an appointment.
The web link to this is http://www.lbschoolwear.co.uk/book-an-appointment/
The Nearly-New Uniform shop will also be open during the Summer holidays on Monday 21st August.

Senior School Dress Code
Boys General Appearance:
It is expected that all boys will maintain a smart appearance – in particular that shirts are buttoned and tucked into trousers and shoes are polished. Hair should be well groomed, stop short of the collar line and be a natural colour.
Very short, very long or exaggerated hairstyles are not acceptable. No jewellery, other than a wristwatch, may be worn. Boys are expected to be clean shaven.
Girls General Appearance:
It is expected that all girls will maintain a smart appearance with shoes polished. Hairstyles should be neat and tidy and a natural colour. Hair must be cut, tied or clipped back so that none falls over the eyes, eyebrows or face. Hair fastenings must be plain navy blue. No jewellery, other than a wristwatch, may be worn. If ears have been pierced, only the simplest of round plain gold or silver studs may be worn, one in each ear. Shoes must be fit for purpose; very flat shoes with flimsy soles are not suitable; pupils walk a long way and will have to work in environments eg Science and Technology where more robust footwear is a must.
Sixth Form Dress Code
Sixth Formers have the privilege of a special dress code rather than a uniform. You are expected to dress smartly in accordance with the code, and to maintain high standards of dress and appearance as high profile senior pupils. Both younger pupils and parents are very much aware of Sixth Formers’ public appearance so you are expected to arrive at and leave school properly dressed so as to set a good example.
Jackets for both boys and girls should be worn around the school. If you have any questions about the suitability of particular items of clothing ask the Head of Sixth Form or Assistant Head of Sixth Form.
The Head of Sixth Form and the Assistant Head of Sixth Form reserve the right to decide on the appropriateness of any aspects of clothing or personal appearance. Any Sixth Form student deemed to be inappropriately dressed may be sent home to get changed.
FSA Nearly-New Uniform Shop
The Freemen’s School Association runs an on-site Nearly-New Shop selling uniform and sports kit and equipment.
We are located in Philp House (between the main car park and the school) and we open several times a term for sale of second-hand uniform and kit items.
Our prices are pitched significantly lower than for new uniform – remember to check here first!
We are always looking for volunteers to help with sorting and pricing, or with running the sales on our sale days.
If you would like to help, or have any questions, please contact me, Annabel Walters, Nearly-New Shop Co-ordinator, at email@example.com.
The shop will also be open
Wednesday 24th January
Tuesday 20th February
Friday 16th March
On each day we will be open 7.45-9am and 3.30-4.30pm.
Parents wishing to sell uniform: Please note the following:
The shop sells only current uniform and sports kit. We also accept sports equipment and footwear in good condition.
50% of the sales proceeds are donated to the FSA and 50% returned to the seller. Should you wish to donate the full proceeds, please stipulate "FSA donation".
For any items for sale, please attach a completed label (see pdf below) with a safety pin. We also sell safety pins in the shop - £2 for a box of 30.
Uniform, kit and equipment for sale can be left with the Gatehouse staff at any time, or dropped into the shop when open, and will then be priced ready for the next sale.
The shop reserves the right to dispose of uniform which is unfit for sale, or which remains unsold after one year. Download the labels below.
