A Level Physics Award for Freemen's Student

Emily Yang from last year’s Upper 6 has won an award for her performance in the A level Physics examinations. She came in the top six nationally for the Edexcel syllabus with a total score of 595/600.

Emily was invited to the Salters’ Institute Annual Awards in Salters’ Hall in London, along with Mr Hallam, where she received a drinking cup made out of horn from the Horners’ Company and a cheque. The ceremony was attended by other Science prize winners, and all awards were presented by Dr Annette Doherty, the Senior Vice President for Product Development and Supply at GlaxoSmithKline.

Emily has always been an excellent Science student who was both interested in the theory and diligent in her approach, so this award recognises her many talents. She is currently reading Natural Sciences (Physical) at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge.
