Fantastic Results for Freemen's Fencers

Freemen's students showed excellent skill and prowess when duelling their way to success last week.

Two Freemen's pupils competed against some of Surrey’s finest fencers at the recent Surrey Youth Fencing Championship held at Epsom College.

Well done to Upper 3 student, Jessica Barnor, whose hard work meant she was crowned Girls' Under 12 Épée 2018 Champion for Surrey and came home with a Gold medal and trophy.

Congratulations also go to Upper 4 student, Mark Taylor, who won the Bronze medal in the Under 16 Boys’ Épée. Mark said following his win: “I’m very pleased to be Fencing competitively again after a long lay-off due to a rugby injury! I definitely intend to do more training and competitions in the future.”
