Academic Learning and Teaching

At the beginning of July, all of Upper 4 (Year 9) took part in a STEM morning, led by the team at Satro.

Students had to build the tallest tower they could to support an egg, then design and build sports stadia for various Olympics sports, finishing with the construction of a wind turbine.

As well as honing STEM skills, students developed their teamworking, creativity, budgeting and leadership skills, as students had been assigned a specific role. The winners of the challenges were Hari, Frederick, Michelle, Amir, Elliot, Max  and Catherine.
