Golden moment for Freemen's pupils

Students secure 'Integrity' prize

A group of successful U6 Business and Economics pupils were hosted at Goldsmiths' Hall this week. They were invited to receive their prize for the team displaying greatest integrity which they won at the ICAEW National Finals in July. A huge achievement with just 50 out of the original 4,000 teams who entered making it to the final.

Working with Accountants from the ICAEW, students were required to provide solutions to business problems, progressing to more complex and involved online presentations, question and answer sessions.

As a result of their tremendous effort, our students were awarded the ‘integrity prize’ and were one of just 10 teams to win awards.  Having spent the day at Goldsmith's Hall and Goldsmith's Centre, enjoyed a tour behind the scenes of the Hall, our students were taken for a tour of the Assy office where gold and silver and precious metals are Hallmarked.  Mr John Cardnell, Master of the chartered accountants, presented the team with their well-deserved awards.
