Annabel was both shocked and happy with her results, as it means she is able to study at her first choice of university which is Durham University. She is excited to explore a new part of the country and enjoy everything Durham has to offer, including new people as well as complete independence. Annabel looks forward to studying Medicinal Chemistry in particular throughout her course as she is hoping to discover what career she might follow in the future.

Annabel appreciated and benefited from the large amount of support as well as the increase in independence she received during her time in Sixth Form.

“I have gone on many trips since joining Freemen’s in Upper 3 and all of them have been my highlight. However, my favourite has got to be the ski trip in Lower 6 which was so much fun.”

The step up from GCSEs to A-levels is huge according to Annabel, which she found to be one of her biggest challenges during her time at Freemen’s as well as the fact that all of her options were extremely full on and challenging at times.

Annabel would encourage future Sixth Form students to start revision as early as possible and to make sure they are completely prepared.
