Ella: "I’m look forward to studying a subject I’m really interested in, in a greater depth”

Ella gained A* in Psychology, Biology, and Chemistry

Despite not sleeping a wink last night, a thrilled Ella is off to Cambridge University following her successful results, to study Psychological and Behavioural Sciences.

“I’ve been at Freemen’s for six years and moving into Sixth Form from GCSEs was the biggest challenge for me during my time at the School. But there’s so much help and support from the teachers that after a few weeks into the A level course, you get used to the step-up.

“As far as preparing for the next transition – on from A levels to our chosen destinations, Sixth Form has provided me with skills beyond the classroom through the Freeminds course we do alongside our studies. Visiting talks from Freemen’s Alumni have really helped us understand and appreciate what university life might hold in store and how to be prepared. I’m so grateful to all the teaching and careers staff and ex-pupils who have helped me.

Ella’s highlights of life at Freemen’s were too many to mention but one in particular was the leavers’ prom which she felt was a really fitting end to her time at the School.

“Although I’m excited to be moving on to Cambridge, I will miss my friends and School, where I have felt so settled.”
