Swimming Goes From Strength to Strength

Great results for all the teams at recent ESSA competition

Overall all the swimmers performed fantastically. The senior boys came 6th in the Freestyle Relay event but were unfortunately disqualified from the Medley Relay. Congratulations to the Senior girls - E. Way, K. Lyons, E. Cooper and S. Irwin for coming third in the 4 x 50m freestyle relay and excellent swimming in the medley relay finishing 4th overall.

The Intermediate Boys finished in 7th position in the 4x50m Freestyle Relay. In the 4x50m Medley Relay the boys finished in 6th place.

Excellent swimming by the inter girls too, resulting in a 1st place in the medley 4 x 50m relay (2:10.62) and 3rd in the freestyle 4 x 50m (1:58.93) relay competitions in the Surrey round of this National ESSA finals qualifying competition. Congratulations to I. Fakkel, Z. Agius, J. Lawrence and A. Hartley.

The junior boys finished in 9th position in the 4x50m Freestyle Relay and in the 4x50m Medley Relay they finished in 7th place.

And finally a great effort from C. Fakkel, K. Bunyard, G. Teale and M. Pittman, the Junior Girls, who swam well against tough opposition in the 4 x 50m freestyle and medley team relays. In the freestyle event our junior girls finished in 6th position (out of 22 teams!) and in the medley relay the girls finished in 8th position (out of 20 teams).
