Junior girls' swim to success at the London Aquatics Centre
ESSA Secondary Team swimming Relays NATIONAL FINALS
On Saturday 19th November our junior girls’ swim team travelled up to the London Aquatic Centre to compete in the National finals. Only 30 teams qualified in each relay from schools around the whole country. The girls had only qualified 30th in the 4 x 50m freestyle relay but swam amazingly in this long course competition and rose to 21st place overall. In the 4 x 50m medley relay we had qualified in 21st place and eventually came 13th overall, narrowly missing the top 10 schools final. All the girls were keen to say they were very excited about swimming in the same pool that the Olympian's had swam in. Congratulations to the girls who should be very pleased with these excellent results.
