Thursday saw a lovely sunny day for District Athletics competition which had moved to a new venue this year, The David Weir Stadium in Carshalton.

A team of over 50 athletes represented the school and achieved amazing success over a range of track and field events. Highlights were A. Botvinyeva who won both the 80m hurdles and the long jump for the Inter girls team, L. Pearson who won the 800m for the Junior Girls team and J. Freeman who won both the 800m and 1500m for the Inter Boys team.

As a result of these fantastic performances 15 athletes have been selected to represent Central Surrey at the Surrey Schools’ Championships and we wish them all the very best of luck when they compete for the district team on 9th June at Kingsmeadow Stadium.
