What a week of Athletic Achievements!

Freemen's athletics continues to build on fantastic performances throughout the season
At the start of a very busy week of athletics, several of our pupils were selected to represent Central Surrey at the Surrey Schools Championships and the following athletes are to be congratulated on their achievements:

On Monday the Junior's travelled to Thames Valley Athletics Track. Following this the school is now celebrating one of its best years ever at the Regional qualifying round of the IAPS Athletics championships, with 13 athletes qualifying for the National Championships which will be held at the Alexander stadium in Birmingham on 3rd July. Our athletes will represent London Region Prep Schools in a wide range of track and field events and we wish them all the best and look forward to hearing how they get on.

Then on Tuesday the Junior Girls and Inter Girls travelled to Lee Valley Athletics Centre having qualified for the Regional round of the English Schools Track & Field Cup. This is a points based event where all athletes have to compete in 2 events and earn points for their team based on times/distances. Once again there were some excellent performances and several girls posted personal bests in their quest to add to the team points. Overall the Inter Girls finished 8th out of 12 and the Junior Girls a fantastic 3rd out of 11 teams.
