Grace: "Use practice papers"
Grace acquired an A* in Psychology and A grades in Biology and Philosophy.
In regards to her reaction to her results, Grace said “I was positively shocked. My mocks did not go to plan and I was off-target so I did not have high hopes for my final grades as I did not think it was possible to improve so much. Yet I even managed to exceed my target grades!”
“Surpassing the initial offer grades from the University of Exeter meant that I was given the opportunity to study a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology after I have completed my Bachelor’s degree which is an amazing opportunity for me.”
Grace is excited to discover and utilise the facilities that the University of Exeter has to offer her, especially within the Psychology department.
“Freemen’s has prepared me for starting University by organising a mental health first aid workshop for those in the well-being society including myself and I believe that this will help me in my Psychology degree and may give me a head start and extra knowledge at university”.
The leavers' prom was one of Grace’s highlights at Freemen’s and she loved the fact that it was held within the school itself, in Main House. Grace also really enjoyed the City Visit in Upper 6th as she got the chance to experience what London has to offer, such as The London Eye, with her peers.
Grace would advise next year’s Sixth Form students to give enough time for revision and to use practice papers as much as possible, especially in Biology!
