Exercise WOODLAND WARRIOR

Laser Tag

EX WOODLAND WARRIOR - Thursday 30th April, 2020, 4pm-8pm

As part of your son / daughter’s CCF training we shall be visiting Campaign Laser Tag Park in Hookwood Forest near Cobham.  The visit will be an opportunity for the pupils to practise minor tactics, skirmishing, attack and defence.  Laser tag is a harmless and non-physical of achieving these learning objectives while having lots of fun. The cost of the trip is £TBC, which includes all costs associated with the trip.  If you agree to your son / daughter attending, we will arrange for this to be added to your next school fees.

The visit will leave the school promptly at 4.15pm by school minibus and will return to school by approximately 8pm.  Your son / daughter will be able to contact you via his/her mobile phone should this change slightly owing to traffic.  The pupils are expected to wear school tracksuit, carrying CCF boots for this trip, with coveralls being provided by the event organisers on arrival. Warm and waterproof clothing should also be packed by cadets. An evening meal of BBQ chicken or veggie burgers with cheese, salad and sauces will be provided. Please indicate below your son / daughter’s preference.

The School’s insurance policy covers serious injuries and hospital expenses.  However, parents may wish to consider the adequacy of their family ‘all risks’ insurance provision for personal items such as phones and other personal property.

If, during the trip, over the counter medication is deemed necessary for your son / daughter, it will be given according to your medication consent preferences held on Schoolbase. This information will be taken from our systems seven days prior to the trip leaving.

If, during the time of this trip, your son / daughter needs medication, please complete the medical form that can be found in the following location on the website, http://www.freemens.org/page/?title=Medical+Forms+and+Policies&pid=103.  Please give details of the dose, the times that the medicine needs to be administered and whether a member of staff needs to give the medication or your son or daughter can self-administer.

The visit is covered by the Code of Conduct and School Rules document. However, we do need to receive consent, so, if you agree to your son / daughter taking part in this trip, please complete the form online by Friday 6th March.  I do hope that your son / daughter enjoys this exercise.
