Maintenance Assistant

Salary £24,800 to £28,030 per annum

We are looking for a competent DIYer with good practical skills to join our Maintenance Team.  The team is responsible for maintaining the fabric of the School so the role involves painting the decorating, minor repairs and maintenance, regulatory checks, lifting and shifting of deliveries and liaising with contractors.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, proactive, organised and reliable with good problem-solving skills and who is a friendly team player.  Many of our team are from varied backgrounds including the military, health and safety, handypersons, maintenance and building trades. Some knowledge of relevant Health & Safety regulations would be beneficial, but training will be provided.  A full driving licence is required.

Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, but flexible working or part-time can be considered. Occasional weekend working may be required.

Salary is on the City of London Corporation Scale, Grade B, ranging from £24,800 to £26,710 pa inclusive of Outer London Allowance and contract hours, with the potential to increase to £28,030 subject to performance.
