Philosophy

The Philosophy Society gives everyone a chance to think about the bigger picture.

We meet throughout each term to discuss and investigate philosophical questions. Recent events have included a brief history of western philosophy, delivered in about 15 minutes, a discussion about what Plato thought about triangles, and an examination of why Orlando Bloom is a Buddhist.

We have also discussed the question of Freedom versus Determinism as illustrated in the Matt Damon film, The Adjustment Bureau, and we have had a debate about how we know things, by experience or using reason.
