Royal Economics Society Lecture

On the 26th of November, a group of 10 enterprising young Freemen's economics students travelled to the Royal Institute in London in order to attend a Royal Economics Society lecture.

The speaker was Tony Venables, BP Professor of Economics at the University of Oxford. He discussed the 'Urban Challenge: making cities that work'; offering many illuminating insights into the challenges and solutions developing in the modern world. The content ranged from agglomeration economies to the accumulation of productivity gains by landowners. Overall, every student gained a lot from the lecture.
