Five Lower 6 Economics students were invited to attend the 31st Annual World Traders’ Tacitus Lecture at the Guildhall. The lecture; Cyber-Trade: Will A.I. Displace or Enhance Our Work, was given by Nathan Myhrvold, PhD former Chief Strategist and Chief Technology Officer at Microsoft and offered a new perspective on the use of A.I. in business and its impact on the global economy whilst dispelling some of the negative myths surrounding this area. Conrad Parks was chosen to ask Nathan Myhrvold a question focusing on future career choices for students in the light of A.I.
These students are now researching the topic of A.I. and putting together their arguments on the subject in preparation for a follow up inter-school debate. We look forward to seeing what they find out and how they get on.
