Student Tomoki Yamamoto’s advice to anyone joining Freemen’s Sixth Form is simple:

“Don’t worry about making friends, you will. This is a friendly place.”

Speaking after discovering he had secured good enough grades to study History at Queen’s College, Oxford, Tomoki explained that it had been “easy” to make friends, when he joined the school two years ago, something he found “really precious”.  He will miss the “atmosphere, grounds and food”.

Tomoki is excited about starting at Oxford and will take “the spirit of challenge” with him from Freemen’s.

“I will continue to try to do the best I can in subjects and in extracurricular activities.”
