"I often think in Music, I live my daydreams in Music." - Albert Einstein

Key Stage 2 & 3

From Form 1 to U4 all students receive one lesson of class music a week in our state of the art classrooms. Students explore a vast range of musical styles from the music of Mozart to Rap and discover music through a variety of activities that are fun and engaging. Students become familiar with music software such as Garageband, Logic Pro and Sibelius.

GCSE Music

Students study the AQA specification at GCSE level. This course is divided into three sections. 30% performance, 30% composing and the final 40% is a Listening Paper. Exam results are consistently excellent with last year's candidates achieving 100% 9-8 grades.

A Level Music

At A Level students study the Edexcel specification which is again divided into three strands of performing (30%), Composing (30%) and Appraising (40%). The focus on the practical side of music through performing and composing is a particular strength of this course. Candidates in 2020 achieved 100% A*-A grades.
