We’re delighted to have Laurence Belcher (2014 cohort) feature in the autumn edition of Independent School Parent magazine as ‘One to Watch’ for his acting achievements to date.

Laurence attended Freemen’s for 11 years and received the drama prize four times. Laurence has starred in Doctor Who, A Christmas Carol and created the role of ‘Young Charles Xavier’ in X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past. While at Freemen’s, Laurence ably performed ‘Tobias’ in Sweeney Todd, ‘Raul’ in the Phantom of the Opera and ‘Boris’ in Agnes Owens’ For the Love of Willie at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He’s currently reading for a BA in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History at Lincoln College, University of Oxford. We wish Laurence the very best of luck with his acting career.
